A gentleman called me from Iraq of all places. He told me his intentions. “If I make it home a live I want to buy a Harley Davidson motor cycle, and a custom made acoustic guitar.”
After studying my website he knew what he wanted. We discussed the wood to be used and most importantly he wanted a colt 45 inlayed with mother of pearl and Abalone on the finger board. When I ask him why a colt 45, he told me in honor of his grandfather. His grandfather had taught him how to shoot a gun when he was growing up. And the Colt 45 was one of the kinds of guns his grandfather had in his collection.
This guy was an expert at handling his rifle. He was the leader in his squad and was weapons instructor. It was a real honor for me to build him his guitar. Just knowing the sacrifice he made for our country!
